Me, Now.
A hand reaching down through sunlit wildflowers to a daisy
By Michelle

Right now, my life feels like it’s in a beautiful state of transition – and I mean that in the best way.

My mornings are a blend of the practical and the imaginative: the sunrise alongside lymphatic drainage movements, palo santo in the air while making breakfast, envisioning how I want to create and share my work in the world, then getting my kids off to school with a warm drink and a high-protein breakfast in hand.

At the start of each week, I make my detailed list of my to-dos, refining details for our home remodel, edit photographs, and I often include a small cacao ritual where I exhale and let the weekend (or the world) melt away on my journal pages. On other days, you’ll find me strength training or hiking the hills near my home.

Creativity enlivens me.
Movement keeps me sane.
Strength training grounds me.

Silence and nature are non-negotiables – they’re where I reset and remember myself.

I love cooking and being adventurous in the kitchen. I’m currently deep in my gluten-free sourdough and sandwich bread era, wandering grocery aisles for new finds, experimenting, and sharing only what truly delights me. Cooking feels connective and deeply satisfying – especially when it’s shared.

I write every day and have finally, fully accepted calling myself a writer. Sometimes my writing is structured; other times it’s simply me following a thought until it becomes honest and alive. I’ve also been reading more for pleasure – letting stories carry me rather than trying to extract meaning from everything. Music, movement, dancing, singing – they’re slowly and joyfully finding their way back into my life.

As I remodel my home, I’m dreaming it forward – imagining it as a place for yoga, gatherings around food, conversations that linger, and connection that feels easy and real. I value community deeply now, just as much as my alone time, and I’m learning how to hold both with integrity.

These days, I rest when I need to – something I had to learn. I play. I tend to my energy. I don’t rush what’s unfolding. I let life surprise me – and it often does.

What I love most about who I’ve become is the acceptance of my capacity to feel deeply, to cultivate compassion and recognize love, and to trust that meaning is always revealing itself – in its own time. I have actually loved learning all my extra percept-abilities, having a sense that there are many more still awakening within us.

Life isn’t something I’m trying to master anymore. It’s something I’m learning to expand with.

Join me.
